Liability Waiver & Safety Agreement
1. Operational Safety & Responsibility
The use of all PBE Golf equipment, including but not limited to The Hybrid, The Little 1, Eagle 1, all buggies and scooters, is entirely at the user's own risk, provided the equipment is used in accordance with our Safety & Operational Guidelines and with local rules and regulations.
Mode Switching: For dual-mode units (such as The Hybrid), users must ensure the vehicle is at a complete standstill and on level ground before switching between operating modes.
Pre-Ride Check: Before every ride, the rider must confirm that the steering column is locked fully upright and that the vertical fixation pin (item 7 in the owner's manual) is pushed fully home. The Hybrid must not be ridden if that pin is not fully inserted.
Terrain Limits: Do not exceed the maximum climbing angle specified for your model (20° for The Hybrid, approximately a 36% gradient) or operate on dangerously unstable terrain.
Braking: The Hybrid uses a regenerative electronic braking system (EABS) through its dual hub motors, operated by the left brake paddle. It has no mechanical brakes, pads or discs. The rider acknowledges that braking is progressive rather than instant, and that braking distance increases with speed, load, downhill gradient and wet ground.
Hill-Hold: The automatic hill-hold holds the buggy on a slope, uphill or downhill, once the rider has come to a stop and stepped off, and only while the unit is switched on. It will not hold the combined weight of the buggy and a rider. Riders must control their speed on any gradient using the left brake paddle and must not rely on hill-hold while on board. Expect a small amount of roll between stepping off and the hold taking effect. Hill-hold is not a full mechanical parking brake: park on level ground before powering down, and do not leave the unit unattended on a slope.
2. Warranty, Battery & Electrical Safety
Warranty Period: PBE Golf provides a 2‑year warranty on Lithium batteries and a 1‑year warranty on all other buggy/scooter components. This commercial warranty is in addition to your statutory rights, including the minimum 2‑year legal guarantee for consumers in the EU and UK.
Official Charging: Only use the official PBE Golf Lithium charger provided with your unit. Use of third‑party charging equipment will void your battery warranty.
PBE Golf is not liable for damages resulting from improper storage, misuse, or failure to follow maintenance and safety protocols.
3. Maintenance & Insurance
It is the owner's responsibility to perform regular safety checks on brakes, steering and electrical connections, and to keep the vehicle in good condition.
PBE Golf strongly recommends that all operators maintain personal liability insurance for golf buggy usage, especially when used on shared golf courses.
